This website has been waiting for its first real post—rather like a blank page waiting for the right opening line. Today feels like the perfect time to begin.

I’m Colleen Klinsky, an author and retired middle school English teacher from western Pennsylvania. I write stories about resilience, reinvention, complicated families, second chances, and the courage it takes to choose a different ending. If you found me through Postcards From Nowhere or Porch Swing Promises, thank you for following the story beyond the final page.

Here on the blog, I’ll share glimpses behind the scenes of my writing life, updates about my books, honest reflections, and some of the people, places, and unexpected moments that inspire my stories. I’ll also take you along as I write Status: Chosen, my suspense novel filled with secrets, fear, and the unsettling sense that someone is always one step ahead.

Writing has taught me that beginning again doesn’t mean the earlier chapters didn’t matter. It means we finally get to decide what comes next.
